so don't give me a hard time for taking so long to figure this out. I am usually super fast with doing things, but this computer stuff takes me a thought process that is sometimes frustrating.

This is the quilt I was telling you about. Found the pattern on the Moda web site. I didn't follow the directions real close. I used all cotton, no brushed or flannel. Cut out hundreds of squares, seems like almost 1500 maybe more. Ok, just did the calculations and it is over 1200. Then I followed the pattern from there on out. It will be 19 squares across and 22 down. I have all the squares cut out and sewn diagonally and have put 5 or 6 rows together. It is starting to get heavy, so I can just imagine what it will weigh when done.

So this girlfriend is for you, Not the quilt, just the pic. Working on other stuff too and that will follow shortly. LOL Just kidding, but it has been so much fun to see the thousands of quilter's out there and the blogs they create. Makes me feel pretty pitiful with mine.

My biggest problem is taking a pic. I have a small digital camera and although I am not very good at taking the pics I can take them and download them and I think I figured out how to put them on my blog, that is I will have to figure it our again. My problem is where to take them. We have such a little place, only 12 x 28 and it serves as bedroom/living room and a kitchen/toilet area, that it is difficult with the dim lighting to take any pics. Right now I have a light tan bedspread on my bed and will give it a try for some of the smaller stuff I have been creating.

I just made a few MUG RUGS. I just had too. They are so cute. My daughter just got a new job and will have her own desk and that started me on that road. First one is for her naturally. Then had to make a few more. Was having a problem with the binding. So last night I watched, again, a couple of U Tube video's and so today am going to make another rug and try to do the binding technique I watched last night. That is one reason I never got into making place mats and potholder and such. The binding was a pain. Don't have the problem with my quilts. Sew it on, turn the binding over and tack it down. For the mug rugs I was trying to sew the binding down all in one step. Wasn't working too well. So now to try it another way. That is me though, always looking for a shortcut.

Getting back to all the new blogs. Have gotten so many ideas and learned so many new things. What a joy. Then that is the best thing about quilters. Their willingness to share their knowledge and teach others and help when they can.

I have to stop reading and get to work. So that is what I am going to do now. Sew !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and then sew some more. AND yes Patti, I will post some pics.

So have a good sewing day to all, and thanks for looking. Oh yeah, I am going to try to open an Etsy shop. I decided that some of the stuff I do looks as good and the other stuff out there. ( I have always felt my stuff isn't up to par, even though my hubby and many others tell me that I do great work ) I am going to try. In December 2009, after my last post, we had a little problem with a small flood. What a mess I tell you. We were so lucky the water didn't get into the house. I may have mentioned it before, but we have a small barn building that we are making into our little house. In the process of the water rising some neighbor's from down the road came and helped us get everything out of the house. We put in in their garage and play room. Then when the flooding was over and the ground dried out enough we moved our building down the road to their property ( they have 5 acres ). When we got the move done I put all the stuff back. I made the mistake of not doing in a good organized way. So needless to say things have been misplace.

Because of that and other things I have been in this slump. Not really doing much of anything. In the meantime we found a better piece of land and began the down payment process. That is done now and we have had a perk test done ( necessary before installation of the septic tank ). Things have continued to happen to require money be spent on that instead of developing the land. Maybe now we can continue to develop the the land so we can get moved out onto our property. By xmas we are hoping.

As I have mentioned before I read a lot of blogs, keeps my mind busy and I get so much info and learn so many new things. Yesterday I linked from one blog to another and then another and then another. It was as if it was supposed to be. I will write more about it later, but I think I am out of my slump. Will post more later.

Veteran's Day

I don't believe in war. It solves nothing other than to get so many men killed.

Then you have the men that fought to make our country free. Would words alone have brought that about. I don't know.

I don't have any answer's. A lot of question's. I do think if more women were in charge the fighting and war's would decrease dramatically. We have a little different caring system within us than the men do.

I would like to say I appreciate my hubby serving in the Air Force, and not having to shoot anyone. Maybe the service should be about serving the country in the country. Taking care of things here at home. Again, no answer's just a lot of question's.

Enough said.

A Place to Park

Well I think we found a piece of land to buy. It is sorta down the road from where we are now. It is 2 lots side by side with some trees and some good open land. Probably all told a 1/4 of an acre. Just the right size and the price is just right too. So after the first of the year when hubby goes back to Birminham we will start the process of getting the money together and should be able to pay cash for it. That will be the best part. Free and clear except for property taxes.

The property is already plumbed for city water so the only things we will have to do is put in a septic tank and a power pole. I think we are going to go with a satellite dish, here we don't get the lightning storms like we did in Florida, so I think that will be more feasible. It will be more of a portable set up so we can take it rving also. It will only take several hundred dollars to move our little building and get it set up there. So it it looking like something much more positive in the real near future. Can't complain here cause we are only paying 85 dollars a month for lot rent. I don't think we could get something like that any cheaper. This new lot will still be an ok location for hubby to go back and forth to work. So that is a good thing.

Just sewed some strips together today. Going to make some little coupon bags with it. About halfway done with the process. Will work more tomorrow.

Tomorrow I am taking italian sausage, meatballs, fresh tomatoes, bell pepper, onion, V8 juice and putting on a crock pot of goodie's for supper. Will make a pasta salad and have some fresh hooagie rolls to go with it. Taking it down and sharing supper with some neighbors. Really great folks.

Better go and finish dinner for hubby. He has to leave for work around 2 am, so he needs to eat and watch a little tv and go to sleep.

Signing off Have a great day Thanks for looking Don't forget to make a comment.

Crumbs, Strings and Crazy Quilting

OK OK I know I promised pictures. Going to get my camera back this weekend for sure.

So on to the posting. I pulled out the box ( about sweater size ) that has a lot of crumb and string blocks. Some completed and a lot not. So the last two days I have been working on those. Finished up a lot of crumb and string in the 6 1/2 inch size and the started new strings in the 4 inch size and also finished up a lot of strings and crumbs in the 4 inch size.

Think I will take the 4 inch ones and add boarders and make a couple of small quilts with what I have finished. I noticed Pat ( my friend ) at Pattilou'squilts donates blocks to Heartstrings on Yahoo. Think I will check that out a little more.

I think that I mentioned before the scraps that Pat and Pat sent me last year. Still working with them for crumbs and strings. Really got the pile they sent worked down. Just 3 bags left. Wide strings, narrow strings and junk for finishing up stuff. I have always wanted to try to do a crazy quilt. It has always seemed such a daunting task. When getting ready to finish up the crumbs and strings I took some fabric that I could use to make more strings and cut it into 4 1/2 squares for strings. Had my bag of narrow strings and my bag of junk out to use and got the crazy idea to try a crazy square. Well I did it. Ended up making about a dozen 4 inch squares with the crazy quilt idea. Wasn't so daunting working with a 4 1/2 square of material. It wasn't easy but I keep playing and like I said I did get a few done. I know I should get a book on it or go online and check it out. I am sure I would find a lot of instructions for helping me. I am just not a reading instruction kind of person. I am more a hands on, but I am sure there are hints and things that would help me in the process. So now that I have given it a shot I have about a 100 pieces of the 4 1/2 squares ready to be used. Am going to grab the junk bag and go to town. Can't hurt and maybe I will get comfortable with the process and not feel so overwhelmed with it.

Going to post pics soon. Bear with me.

Two tops finished and a free giveaway

So now I have finished the top for the new to be granddad and started to tie it off. Her best friend lives in the Atlanta area and just had a baby boy. I had gotten some material with all kinds of fish and things, cause daughter said that was what she wanted, so I started cutting out the blocks. I have never taken a piece of material and just cut out certain parts of it and creating a lot of scrap. ( Of course it won't go to waste now that I can do crumbs and strings, thanks to Pat of Pattilou'squilts ) It has taken me almost a month to get up the courage to do the cutting. I used my 6 1/2 acrylic block and started marking and then started cutting. That first cut was hard but I finished and now have 30 blocks. Then I cut out the same amount of bright yellow fabric in the same size squares. I may have counted wrong, but anyway I have layed them out and started to put them together. Got to get my camera back from a friend so I can take some pictures.

I linked to another web site and blog today from my friend Pat. She is really a great lady and I am lucky to have her for a friend. I posted a link to it here on my blog. A young lady with a lot of talent and heart. Check out her web site for great pricing and selection on Moda fabric. You all know how I feel about Moda fabric. Just love it. Anyway go and check out her web site and then visit her blog. She has a great video about the recent trip to an orphanage that her and her hubby got to do. Green Fairy Quilts Amazing young lady, and I have to give her a lot of respect for what she does and has three little ones at home to boot. I do remember being that young and having a lot more energy than I do now.

So that all for tonight folks. You all take care. Hubby has a co worker that is having his first grandchild. So of course that required making another baby quilt. That make three in the last few months. So tonight I went to Pat's blog, pattilou's quilts and saw a new sign. Copied it and put it on my blog too. So now I guess I will be doing some small quilts for needy girls with new babies. Really great place for quilting supplies, especially here in the middle of almost nowhere. It's called "Front Porch Quilt Shoppe". They do have a web site, but it is limited. They carry the Thimbleberries line, and a lot of Moda fabric and all the stuff that goes along with that. I had never seen Moda before going there about a year and a half ago. But, then I hadn't been to a quilt store in several years. So that may explain it.

I went because they have a little basket that they put their end pieces and scrap material in and sell it for 17 cents an inch. I was able to pick up 5 pieces that will add nicely to my stash. Also, out on the front pourch they have all the sale stuff and material that is marked down. I picked up two pieces of 1 yard each there. Found two pieces in the store and got a half yard each, and that will also add to my stash.

Speaking of Moda. They really have a great staff that comes up with all sorts of new ideas to sell the line of fabric. I picked up two little boxes they call Bake Shop. Each one had 20 1 1/2 " strips and a pattern. One for a real cute xmas stocking and the other for a nice little pocket bag. Well I just had to have them. Probably should not have. Especially since I got home and went to the Moda web site and found the two patterns on the free download. Oh well, the material that is in the boxes matches the patterns. Besides they were just too cute.

Then off I went to Dothan to the health food store. According to the store locator on the Bob's Red Mill web site this place carries their products. I picked up some flour ( gluten free ), wheat bran ( to add to my bread and muffins ), and some ground Almond flour. This one should add a real kick to my almond cresent cookies ( sometimes called wedding cookies ).

Hancock Fabrics was my next stop to see what they had on sale. Also wanted to pick up some quilting thread in colors. Been reading a couple of blogs and they were talking about hand quilting and using contrasting colors. Years ago when I started quilting I only did hand sewing and quilting. Have gotten away from the hand work and have been doing just machine sewing lately. I do miss the hand work. When I get all my quilting stuff out of storage I will post some pics of some of the hand made quilts I have done. All in minature though, nothing in full size quilts.

So at Hancock's they had 40 % off on the cotton and I just had
to get some. Picked up 5 1 yd. pieces to add to my stash. Really not the stash cause I think with a couple of pieces I have here at home it should be enough to make a quilt. All these blog's I have been reading have really got me inspired to do some things.

I do have some string block's that are ready to put together in a quilt and I am going to work on that first. Will post some pic's later.

Better go and finish the dishes, cause I do want to cook dinner tonight. Last night the Subway sandwiches were ok, just not a good homecooked meal. So tonight it is pork chops and maybe some mashed potatoes. Since I didn't get them the other night they have been on my mind and stomach. So it will be mashed potatoes. Think I will use my George Foreman for the porkchops. It does a great, quick job, easy to clean up and the fat just cooks off.

So for now, that's all folks. Thanks for looking and leave a comment. Love to read the ones I have gotten so far.

Photos

For any of you that want to take a look. Continued to work another almost 6 years and then it got pretty bad and my doc made me go totally disabled. What a bummer I can tell you. I have alway's worked and enjoyed what I have done. So what did I do after spending quite a bit of time being totally down and depressed. I started quilting again. Made 17 full size quilt tops for starter's. Those all went to family and friends.

Well two years ago we moved to SE Ala and all my quilting stuff is in storage. Two ladies, Pat from Pattilou's quilts and Pat from Quilting is my Passion sent me several boxes of scraps and from that I have made 9 quilt for the Sunshine group that are ready to ship and another 10 or 12 tops that need to be finished when I can get the batting and a little more stuff for the backs.

Let me tell you that has been so great. It has given me something to do and made me feel good at the same time.

So how can I thank these ladies for what they did for me. So maybe this is one way to do it.

Then all of you can appreciate it too.

Cooking

Made Swiss Steak for dinner tonight. NO not a lousy picture this time. Making rice and white corn to go with it for hubby. I am German and like mine with mashed potatoes. Next time I will.

It has been simmering for several hours now and should just fall apart when I serve it up.

We have a small grocery chain here in SE Ala, with only about 4 stores. They have the best meat that you could ever want. So I had gotten some cube steak and that is what I used. I didn't do the round steak, beat it with a hammer, bread it and fry it up and then make your gravy thing.
I let the cube steak braise in it's own juice in the teflon lined pan with a good lid. I add my spices, mainly sea salt, pepper, paprika and garlic. I also add green pepper and chopped up onion. When all has simmered and the onion's are clear I add diced or stewed tomatoes and tomato sauce. I let that simmer again for a long time. I like mine with mashed potato's, but not tonight.

It is good, not too heavy and it fills you up. Made this for my sister in Jacksonville. It is alway's cold she say's at work and this will help.

OK so a lousy picture again. I took it against a blue background, mistake I guess. The solid is a baby blue color, the of the quilt is a baby blue flannel, the material used for the diagonal squares are of blue print material and I used the same material for the bag and then lined the bag with the baby blue material. The border is a dark blue but looks navy in the picture.

Another thing she wants me to make for her craft show. Does the wanting ever end? Don't think so. At least I have plenty of stuff to do if I get bored.

Now I have to take some pictures of the quilts I made to send to the orphanages for the Sunshine group.

That is all for today folks. It will fit a full size bed. She really liked it and was glad to get it. All the white you see is a white on white material. I was busy reading blogs and linking to web sites and in general getting nothing done. LOL Thank goodness for my computer. Just think of all the work I would have to do if I didn't have it.

OK so to get back to the bag. Somewhere in my travels I found this pattern for this grocery bag. So, of course I had to download it. I had some jelly roll pieces left over so I started and sewed then in rows and then the rows together and finally made them into two pieces big enough to make the bag. Had to go to the quilt store and get some webbing for the handle. Bummer, right. I only bought one piece of material. But, it was all they had left on the bolt. It had a misprint or something and they marked it down to 2 dollars a yard. Now who can pass up a bargin like that. It was perfect to add to my stash.

OK back to the bag. So I spent all day, or at least several hours, making this bag. ( Not the one posted above). Later that evening I got a call from my baby sister in Chicago and I couldn't believe it. She was calling to ask me if I could make her a grocery bag. The usual ones are thin and don't hold up very long ( the recycle ones you can buy for a dollar or two ). So I told her what had transpired that day and yes I would make her one. Me and my big mouth. I thought, I wasn't going to spend hours sewing a bunch of little pieces together. So I had a brain fart and thought of the quilted material I had seen and off to Wally World I went. Was lucky to find two different patterns with enough left on the bolts to make two bags. At 5 dollars a yard I was happy. Had to get the webbing for the handle, but all together the cost was under 10 bucks. I revised the pattern a little and it made the bag go together much faster. In fact, what you see above took less than 30 minutes from start to finish.

It is big, measures appox 22 x 22 inches and has a 4 inch bottom. Almost as big as a paper sack from the grocery, if you can remember what they look like.

I think it turned out great, my sister is happy with it. Now my sister's in Jacksonville each want one. And one of them want's me to make some for a craft show she is doing later this year.

Maybe I should think about etsy. I don't know. Anyway, enjoy. She wants you to hold and love on her all the time. She only weigh's about 2 or maybe 3 lbs. She is what they call a Toy Apple Head Chihuahua. She is the love of my life. She gives more love and attention than you can imagine.

The square she is sitting on is 6 inches by 6 inches so you can judge her size. She is my watch dog, my guard dog and just about the most important thing to me. Can't leave out my hubby, daughter, son in law, grandbabies, sister's and niece and nephews and in laws and excuse if I left someone out. I just have to take more pictures of her and post them.

Online Order

Received my order yesterday from Bob's Red Mill. It is a small place ( a chain of only 3 or 4 stores in the local area ), but they have the best meat's. Going to serve it with rice this time cause that is what hubby likes. I like it with mashed potatoes so I may make a small bowl for me. He can use the leftover rice to go with the gumbo I made the other day. Think we will have some cream corn to go with it. Have some nice dinner rolls and I may make a small salad also. Of course no dessert with all that food. We won't need it.

Spent a little time looking at the Bob's Mill web site and found so much that I want to order. Looked at the store locator and found a store about 20 miles down the road that is supposed to carry his products. Will check that out later next week to see what they have and the price. The prices on the web site are so good for what you are getting and the variety they have. It is just the shipping that can kill you. It has to come from Oregon and down here to SE Ala. Quite a distance, and it took one week shipping via UPS. If we get a chance to go see daughter in SLC next year I will order ahead and have it shipped to her. May lower the shipping cost some, I don't know.

So got to go and get some work done. Been reading so many RV blog's and not getting anything done. Most times it is so uplifting to read of the adventure's and then again it just makes me want to get out there and go. Can't yet cause the money isn't there. Oh well, next summer for sure.

Cooking

I knew I would find it if I just kept looking and I did. One of the blog's I read is called Fab Grandma. Reading another blog I found something that I think would interest her. Bob's Red Mill Barn sells gluten free products, which she uses. So I was able to send her the info.

Then I made a mistake and went and looked at their products. Just ordered some stuff that I can use and make hubby some home made stuff to boot.

Since I love to cook and he loves to eat we are a match made in heaven. For over 34 years now.

Also found something that I want to be posted here on my blog, but I don't know if I will qualify.
So I will have to start posting some stuff about my cooking and my recipe's and stuff like that. I clicked too fast on post and didn't pay attention. When I glanced over it was too late, but it must have been something to do with what I was posting about the totes I was going to make. It looked like an ad for tote bags or something and so I am trying this to see if I can get the darn thing back. I think maybe I should have clicked on it and it would have added an advertiser to my blog.

So here goes, quilting tote bags. Lets see if that works. Maybe he is getting what he needs to get rid of his sinus/ear infection. I sure hope so cause he gave it to me and I have been dealing with it for over two months. Started some antibiotic the other day so maybe for me it is over too.

Been busy reading blogs and found something on Pat's that I liked. Keep your fingers crossed and maybe you will see something new on mine.

I have got to get busy cause sister called and reminded me of a craft show in Oct. in her area. She wants me to get some stuff together that I can contribute. Plan on doing a couple of tote bags, maybe some lap quilts with matching totes. I washed it, hence the wrinkles, but the colors are so dull looking here in the picture. I took it outside hanging on my front door. Too much light I guess. A friend gave me some material that was leftovers and such from a shirt factory. Then I backed it with a piece of flannel, so it was nice and soft and warm. Made another on almost like it for a friend of my sister. Was fun to do something for a baby.

One of my most favorite things

My grand babies!!!
My Buddie Sam and Aimee

There you have it. And boy do they love their grandma. When I went to visit last November they hadn't seen me in over a year. They didn't forget me though. They were so happy to see me.

Now I have to tell on my Buddy. They all know after going outside they get a treat. Well, my first full day there Buddy had to go outside at least 8 or 10 times. Much, much more than usual. And he always came to me to let me know he needed to do his business. Well of course I let him out, and sometimes went with him. Every time he came back in he got a treat. Well I might be gettin on a little but I knew what he was doing. He was using grandma to get treats and he knew grandma would get them for him. I played along the whole first day. Day two went back to normal. Not that he didn't try me out again. I just watched and when he didn't do anything he didn't get anything. He still loves me though.

Let's give it a try

gain later

OK folks. Here goes.

This is a little project that I worked on and yes it is still in process. That means not finished yet. I picked up some paint sample cards at the local hardware store. Used paint's, gel, all kinds of embellishments and other stuff to put it together. Using it for my favorite recipe cards, and for sort of a show and tell that I can take with me for sharing. I just wish the colors would come out better. Guess I need to learn a little bit about taking better pictures.

Going to try to post a couple of more. Well that didn't seem to work. Why? Because I have been too busy reading other folks' blogs. I was so glad to go and get to see my daughter, but now it has been almost a year and my heart is beginning to ache again. I don't ask for much, just a hug and maybe a lunch together, and getting the chance to see son in law and most especially loving on my grand babies ( the dogs of course ).

So what have I been up too. A little crafting and mostly working on quilts. I have, I think, 9 finished for the Sunshine group and at least that many in process. Which means, finished tops, or tops that are almost finished. Ran out of batting, so will have to get more. I have been doing some other sewing projects also. Made a set of six place mats, coasters, table runner, apron, and two sets of six napkins for daughter. I finished the quilt for my sister and also made her a grocery bag. Made two lap quilts with matching tote bags to carry them in. One for sister and one for the mother in law. Am working on 4 place mats for the mother in law also. Repaired a bunch of pants for the hubby. I always seem to put that off for another day and then another day and then another. LOL Guess you can tell that I don't like repair work.

Hubby spent most of Feb thru middle of August up in Birmingham working. If I haven't mentioned it before, he drives those monster motor coach tour buses. So the time he spent up there was doing shuttle work with a mini bus. He does like the bigger one much better. He came home the middle of August and has only worked a couple of day's since then. Good thing I put a little away while he was gone. This time of the year the work is slow but we are better prepared than last year, so it will be ok.

I have been reading so many blogs. With mozilla, which by the way I really like, I have created folders by catagory. One for RV'er's, Quilting, Art, Info, and many others. When I click on it the list's go on and on. It is my link to the outside world. I really enjoy them and I should add to this blog listing more of the ones I really enjoy. Also looking and reading other blog's with all the fancy stuff makes me more aware that I really need to spend some time and learn some of the nifty tricks that I see other's doing.

So I have taken picture's of some of my work, now to get them downloaded onto this blog. That is my next project.

So will close for now. More to come. A special thanks to all the other blogger's that enrich my life. Part because I have so much stuff to download and pictures to take. I just don't feel comfortable with the picture taking and posting part. I know I have done a few and not can't remember how I did it. So I have to take the time to do that part. Have been working on a lot of different things and trying out different techniques and just playing. Working on an altered book for no other reason than to just do. I suppose that fits a lot of folks out there. Anyway I am going to get busy and try to accomplish and not just say it or think it. I don't know now what or how I found it, but I joined yesterday afternoon and all I can say is "wow". I have already gotten some great links for stuff, ideas and supplies. Not to mention all the other blogs I can now go to and read.

Just have to ask myself, with all this new stuff to check out when is the time for crafting? So I stopped reading and watching videos for a little and dug out some stuff. Only have to buy 9 more and I will have all of Tim Holtz alcohol inks. That is 24 total. I have ( in storage in Florida ) all the ink pads in the Adirondack line minus a few of the new colors. I also have here most of the colors of the distress pads he has out.

OK, so I put a little piece of felt on my daubber tool and added some ink and stamped on a piece of memory glass. First time so I probably need a little more practice. Then on another blog ( I think ) that I was looking at yesterday or the day before where someone had used the alcohol inks to dye UTEE. I think that is what I remember, but at 61 the brain don't work so good and now I can't find the blog, but I will continue to look. So I took some clear UTEE and added some lettuce alcohol ink to it in a little plastic bag. Now to get out my melting pot and see what happens. I have dyed other stuff with the posh impressions little ink bottles and it worked great. So will see what happens with my now dyed UTEE. Am also going to dye some of the JudiKins amazing glaze with the alcohol inks ( I have the huge fat one pound jar of it ) to see what happens.

So it is off to play some more. Will leave the reading to tonight when I am tired and need to sit still. Got to get the camera out and set up a place to take some photos. Oh the dull and dreary life of the working no more old lady.

I'm Back

I knew it had been awhile since I posted last, just no idea it had been so long.

I know I posted about our life here in SLA and what was going on. To make a story short the folks we have been house sitting for are back from Florida. So I haven't had a counter to work on and getting online has been a hassle. It has been good to have them home cause Vera and I are good friends and do a lot of crazy stuff together. But, to update the story we have our little "house" now and it is on a rented large lot with lots of shade. My little rig is right next to it. Will have to post a picture.

Haven't quilted or crafted or done anything in so long. Right now I am doing the wiring in the little house. Yes, ladies can do anything. I have done six receptacles so far. And they all work. So have a a/c installed and working, my freezer and fridge plugged in and working, a fan and several lights. Half the ceiling is insulated and need to get the other half done. Will continue to wire and add insulation until that part is done. Need to install a toilet and sink and shower and hook ups for my washing machine too. Going to cover the floor with tile and then put up paneling and some light fixtures and a ceiling fan. Get a few cabinets and shelving units, hope to get to IKEA for some of that stuff. That will be pretty much it and when done will all be paid for out of pocket. No mortgage for me. Need to find a piece of land for our own and then get the house moved.

So the ballgame here in this part of the country is on and were in the first inning and going strong. Feel better cause it is ours and now I can set up to sew and craft to my hearts desire. Will post some pictures later.

Stay safe and thanks for reading.

More stuff

Here is a picture of one of my tables at the Disney craft show that I had a chance to do. I did a lot more things. Little journals and note books. Xmas tags and cards, notecards, and regular cards with rubber stamping and all sorts of stuff.

When I get all my stuff moved up here I have to go thru it all and get it organized and then start trying again to do some little craft shows. I will PRESS them. I will try hard to remember to press my seams in any which way that will benefit my quilt laying flat. I will trim more off my seam allowance. I will press seams open if that makes the laying flat work better.

I suppose now you are wondering how I got so smart in such a short time. Go to Quilting is my Passion blog and you too can learn a lot of great things to help make you a better quilter. It was a blog I have been thoroughly enjoying reading. Now I can count this wonderful lady a friend. She is wonderful and a very kind person.

I know, I haven't posted in awhile. I have been quilting to my heart's content. I am almost finished with the 5th top. Wow, for me that is doing great. I know other's can do it a lot faster and get more done in a shorter time. I am happy with what I have done so far. Soon to start a new project of trying to learn and do crumb blocks. I am so excited about that. I hate to throw good material away and now I found a new way to use them and come up with a finished quilt in the process.

The picture above is a bird house I picked up at Michaels and painted and stamped and added stuff to for my sister. Notice my little birds in the holes. I also used velumn and punched out some flowers to add to the house. I was a fun thing to do and I did a lot more after that one.

The other picture is a flying fish. I used 2 cd's and using glue and fish line I glued them together. Then using the foam craft sheets and a pattern I had been given cut out the pieces to make the tail and arms and stuff. I used spray on webbing to decorate the cd and plastic jewel pieces for the eyes. I made almost a hundred of these to hang in our clubhouse for a party. ( Don't live there anymore ). They were a big hit and I sold quite a few for a dollar apiece. So now the RVer's where we used to live have these things hanging off their awnings for decoration. I used many different colors and stuff to decorate them. Wanted to figure out how to do a frog but never got around to it. I am not an artist and can't draw worth a darn.

Ok I will close for now and get back to quilting. All is well in this little world I have created for myself. My daughter is not coming from Utah and this makes me very sad. So I have to stay very busy to keep myself positive. I just started a new altered book and am in the process of gessoing the pages together. Hadn't studied what the theme would be, was just letting it talk to me. Well , thanks to a new friend I had a brainstorm and decided it would be about quilting. So now a new direction and project to occupy my time.

I will post more picture's of other project's I have done. Now that I have that figured out.

So for now Stay safe Stay warm Later

Some of my stuff

This is a picture of the second collage book I did. Also to all the ladies that have looked and emailed me. And all the ladies I talk to via the blogs. And can't forget all the ladies, now friends, I am making from the yahoo groups I belong to. The is an awesome and a reality check for me. Thought I would spend a lot of time here in SE Ala alone. Not so, in fact I am getting really busy answering and sending emails, reading blogs and of course my quilting. In between I cook and wash and all those other boring things.

I finished the second quilt top and now into the third one. Not using any pattern so to speak. Sort of just putting them together. I think I mentioned earlier about the Moda fabrics I am using. Also that I had been out of quilting for a few years. As with anything else quilting has grown. Moda, as many of you probably know ( but I didn't ) takes a group of material that have been designed to go together and makes a bundle of 5" squares ( called charm blocks ), then they have the same material cut into 2.5" strips ( called jelly rolls ). So you can buy a set of charm blocks and jelly rolls and some extra material and wola you have a stash of material all matched up for you. You can cut it, fold it, just anything and then sew it together and you are done. I love it. No decision to make on what goes together, it is all done for you. I have to say they have some real talented designer's and artist's and the quality of the material is top of the line. Since I have been out of touch with the process and all my material is in Central Florida in storage this is working out great. Beautiful colors, darks and pastels, and all kinds of prints and solid and everything in between.

Mentioned earlier about the little tote bag I made and sort of messed up. Well I have started a second one and this time will do it right. Especially now that I know where I went wrong. Also made a cute little mini bag. It is going to hold my thread and bobbins and stuff for when I take a class or are working on something that I am taking camping with me. One of those good things.

Now I am stuck or tired. The last two or three day's I have been thinking of things that I wanted to say in this post. I guess I should have posted then because now I can't think of the things I wanted to say. Let's see, 61 coming in June, I wonder if that has anything to do with my forgetting. Now it is getting deep.

So will close for now. I am sure when I go and lay down all the thing's I wanted to put down and can't remember will just pop into my head. Then I will lay there trying to decide if I should get up or not. Decisions decisions.

Hope all are well and safe and warm.

More to follow.

My dollhouse

I belong to several yahoo groups and have been talking with a member of one of them. They just bought themselves and used Cabin A3 just like mine. They took it on their first trip and had a great time. Course after they had more question's to ask me. I don't mind that at all cause I just love my little rig and love to talk to anyone about it.

Finished the little bag and it turned out quite nice. Been working on the second quilt top and am over half way finished that. Am on quite a roll for now. It is all because sewing with my new Bernina is just a dream. I am really enjoying having such a great tool to work with.

Haven't decided what I am going to do next. I have gotten two of the three deliveries on the craft/collage stuff I ordered. The third order shipped and should be here in a day or two and then I want to get started on some of that. The black paper I ordered is here now so that means I can get started making and working on the pages for the journal. I have had the cover made now since the summer and couldn't find the black paper I thought I had. Got tired of waiting and trying to find it so just ordered some new stuff. If I start that I will have to put off sewing for a little cause that will take some time to work on.

I have a altered book I started for use with my craft info. I can put info, stuff I want or need, or anything I want to add to it. So have decided to make one for the quilt stuff I do. I figure I can keep a record of the quilts I am making, the kind of thread I am using, or anything that pertains to that particular quilt in there. Have to do some altering to it first. Thinking of covering the outside in pieces of upholstery material . Make it look like a quilt, but sturdy and will hold up to a lot of abuse. Just thinking about it at this stage. Will be a work in progress as most of my stuff usually is.

It is chilly tonight and I have the heat on low. I am feeling colder than usual and hope that is all that it is. Don't feel like I am coming down with anything, just cold. Hope I am warmer tomorrow. It is in the low 40's so it is not as cold as a lot of other places, thank goodness.

Today is bill paying day. Boring, but it has to be done. I will just have to hurry up and do it so I can get back to playing, which is so much better.

Got to talk to daughter and find out if there is anything more definite about her coming in March. I can hardly wait to see her. I really miss her so much, and my son in law and my grandbabies ( the three dogs ). I miss the love and attention I get from them and the hugs I get from my daughter. Course my son in law will hug me, just not as often as my daughter does.
Miss cooking in the kitchen with her and doing other things too. Maybe soon.

Well, it is late and I am getting tired and I think I will just get covered up and crash.

Stay safe Stay warm Take care

Finished

The quilt is done. Now I took some of the leftover square's and made a cute little bag. It is about 3x3x6 with a little handle. Have to get a zipper for it tomorrow so I can finish it.

Tired tonight. Guess I tried to do too much. It is what I do a lot of the time anyway. No one to blame but me.

Beautiful day today and spent it inside. Tomorrow it is supposed to rain. Then clear for the rest of the week. Will get out and do some cleaning up of my little dollhouse to get ready to go to Florida the end of the month or the first of next month. Either way it will be strawberries and more strawberries. Can't wait for that.

Must mention about something I picked up last week. I had seen the advertisement on TV and had thought about getting one. Looked at it a time or two before. I finally got one at WalMart for the RV mainly because of the size. It is one of those new hand held vacuum systems for the storage of food. You can get quart and gallon size bags to use with it. It wasn't that expensive it it lasts for awhile. First time I tried it I was following the directions, but was pushing down too hard on the counter. Found info on use on the web site and decided to try it again. This time with positive results. In fact it works great and will be a neat tool to add to my little dollhouse.
It would have been great last year when we went to Jacksonville and I found fresh caught shrimp for 2.50 a lb. and bought 40 lbs to take home. Of course I had to wash them and take the heads off, then pack them in ice so they would take the trip home. Could have used this little device and also gotten them ready to freeze. Oh well, next time.

Later Stay warm and safe wherever you are. Happy quilting/crafting or cooking.

All I Have to do is Dream

That's right. Got the Everly Brother's playing on my Windows Media Player. Sewing my sister's quilt on my new Bernina. Looking at a beautiful Valentines card from my daughter. Just talked to hubby. All is right in my world.

You know, maybe what my crazy workman's doctor said is right that day in his office when he told me I would have to go 100% disabled. He had tried the same thing a year earlier and I refused. Told him I would die if I couldn't work. So I kept it up for another year and just made myself worse. I loved my nursing and I was good at it. My patient's liked me and in the area I was living in we got a lot of repeats. Young diabetics having problems learning how to adjust the meds and diets to keep the sugar in control. Older folks with all the problem's that come with age. Then the surgical patients and so on.

So after another year of trying and having several episodes that put me on the floor and then unable to barely walk for over a week, he said " that's enough ". You will end up in a wheelchair before it is over and then you will be no good to anyone. So that left me with no choice but to stop.

To get back to the doc. He told me it might take 5 year's or more , but that I would be ok and happy again. Well he was wrong about the time frame. It has been more like over 8 years, but I am better. Got diagnosed with severe depression and post traumatic stress syndrome because of all the stress and not being able to work. Tried medication's and didn't like the side effects of wanting to sleep all the time and not have any get up and go . Other things factored in to make my life a mess.

It is better now. I love my little Bernina and I think that is the best medicine I could take. I love to create and to have the right tools to do the job is the best.

I am in a better place and hope to stay there. Climbing up out of that dark hole took a lot of hard work and effort. I am over the edge right now and hope I don't ever fall back in. It is a kind of hell all in it's own.

It is not over, some day's are good and some not so good. I hurt a lot and can't do what I want all the time . My energy level is not what it used to be, but then it may be that at 60 I am not suposed to have what I had at 20 or 40. I still want it.

So now I am going to listen to my music and quilt. That is a good thing.

Take care Stay safe and warm

WOW My first comment on my blog

What excitement, my first comment on my blog. And wouldn't you know it would be from one of my favorite bloggers " Fab Grandma ". Bless your heart, thank you and look forward to more of them. She is camp hosting in North Georgia at the moment. Hope it isn't too cold up there.
Cold here last night, I think it got down to 29, but still not as cold as other places. So I am grateful, but still cold.

Well I did it again. Just had to go back to the quilt store for some more thread. Couldn't finish the little tote bag I had started with out it. And of course I had to get a few more things!!! Too many, costing too much, but had to have it. And now I have a few more projects to do.

Well tonight I finished the little tote and it turned out cute even with the mess up I did with the construction. Will post a picture tomorrow if I can figure out how to do it. Now I am back to finishing my sister's quilt. Almost done with the top. One more row to add to the sides and then I have two rows to add to the top and the bottom. Then I can take it back to the quilt store, hurray, to have it quilted.

Talked to daughter last night. Salt Lake City is getting snow and more snow. Son in law was in his third hour of trying to get home and not half way yet. Normally a 45 minute drive was becoming a trip from you know where. I talked to him for a minute, he was ok, but getting tired of sitting and going so slow when he was able to move. Worry about daughter driving in the mess because her experience doing it is limited. In other words, never before, but definitely having to learn. Not to laugh, but better them than me. Sure am getting too old for that mess.

Since it is Valentine's day I hope everyone got some candy or a kiss or I love you or something a little special. I got my husband some happiness. You see, with being disabled and not working I have been at time's a very unhappy person. Now he is seeing me having fun and doing things, and that makes him happy. He enjoys all the things I do, is proud of my accomplishment's, and encourages me to continue. So buying more stuff today at the quilt store made me happy, so he is happy. That is where the happiness comes from, me buying more material to make him happy. Wonder if I can get away with that for his birthday, Father's day, Memorial day, 4th of July, Labor day weekend, Thanksgiving, Xmas, and New Year's Eve. Did I leave any out. Sure hope not. Wonder how long I can keep it going. For awhile anyway, if not, I will make it last for as long as I can.

OK, have to get back and continue to finish that quilt. Got a jacket pattern today and want to start on that next. This time I will read all the instruction's to begin with. I promise.

Take care Stay warm and stay safe

It Works Great

Well I did it again. Told you earlier that I had gotten my new little Bernina. Well today I had to get out and get a birthday card for my daughter who turns 41 this coming Saturday. Well, been talking ( really emailing ) to another blogger lately who is also a quilter. I had been told about this little quilt shop over in Ozark. So here I go figuring I could knock out two birds with one stone. Looking at all the posting and picture's of the quilts she has done or is working on got my get up and go going. Bad thing.

It is not an old house but the inside is done so that it looks like a little old house. Well here I go, I walk in and almost shout out " A little piece of heaven out in the middle of nowhere". I am so bad. Just cause I am from a big city ( Chicago ) and have been living near Orlando for the last 15 years, I suppose I should expect that I won't find all the thing's I am looking for. I mean, Orlando just got their very own IKEA. What else could you want. I can get my Vienna Hot Dogs, Vienna beef sandwiches, Pannera Bakery's, Chicago style pizza, but no Jay's Potatoe Chips. Oh well, you can't have everything.

So, let's get back to the quilt shop. The lady that owns is so nice and helpful. There is so much to look at. I spent over two hours wandering and looking and asking question's. They even have a longarm so when I finish my sister's quilt I can get it finished. That is one of the main reason's I wanted to check it out. Yea, if you believe that I have some ---------. Anyway, I picked up and picked up and looked and drooled and had the best time. Of course I spent way too much. Won't say how much just in case my hubby, who is computer illiterate, ever looks at this. It's my money anyway, so he can't say anything. I mean he went to Pannera's today in Montgomery and only bought me one cookie and one cherry danish. Could have at least bought me two. Cheapskate. So I got my material fix today. Something I haven't done in so long. It was a great feeling, cause I do love to quilt. Even bought a pattern to make the cutest little tote bag.

Had to come home and cook dinner, clean up and other wifely stuff. Got that over with and then got out the pattern for the tote. Got the material all cut out and then couldn't resist working with my new machine. What a joy. I have it almost done. It required some quilting. Now, I am not a machine quilter. I have tried on my other machine's with terrible results. My little Bernina is a whole different ballgame. Set the number's where they were supposed to be, tried it on a sample piece, and then went to town. What can I say, having the right tool for the job is the only way to go. I just can't say enough about the quality of the Bernina. This one is only one step up from the bottom in their pricing, but they don't skimp on quality. If I had the money I would get the 5 or 6 thousand dollar one. But, for my 200 dollars I am quite happy. This one will do for a very long time. So now I have two sewing machines that I probably will never use again. Anybody need a sewing machine. Got two for sale and I will give you a good deal.

So now I will have to finish my sister's quilt so I can get started on some of this new material I bought today. I think the cute little jacket that I bought the pattern for is next in line. It is not really quilted, but is made to look that way. I alway's need something for my arms when I have to go into a store. I am always cold, especially when they have the a/c running.

Am going to try to get some rest. Going to do breakfast for hubby and then sleep. Got that all turned around right now. Up all night, sleep till noon, then try to accomplish whatever I have to do. At least this way he get's breakfast before he has to leave to go to work. Good for him and I do enjoy taking care of him. After all he brought me one cookie and one cherry danish today.

Have a good day and take care. Over and out for now. More later. Will post a picture of the little tote when I finish if I can figure out how to.

Missed it

Guess some folks had a run in with some bad weather last night. We are in SE Ala so we missed all the bad stuff. Have to give thought to those who lost family or house or more. A horrible thing to live through. We just moved up here from Central Florida so have lived through some of the hurricanes before. No fun at all, it is so disruptive to everything. Things can be replaced but not family and friends. With hurricanes you can prepare a little for the storm, but with tornadoes there is no preparation. They just come and if you are lucky it doesn't strike you or yours. It is kind of like the lotto, but in this there is no winning, just a break or not.

So I have my new sewing machine and do I love it or not. She runs like a dream. Not anything close to the top of the line, but for me it works. I don't do a lot of fancy stuff so will work for me for a long time. I would like to have an embroider machine some day. I just got a serger a couple of weeks ago and still have to learn how to use it. Got to keep busy.

One note. I made a comment on one of the blog sites I read. More like a question and lucky me I got an email back tonight. A Quilter's Life in a box is the lady I wrote to and she was so sweet to have answered me and so fast too. I guess this blogging stuff and the folks that do are kinda like RVer's. So helpful and willing to share.

Life is good.

Not too much to post about. Went to Target tonight cause some folks on a Yahoo group I belong to were talking about some lp cannisters that were marked down and a little single stove too. Guess the Target in my area is not doing a clearance, but I did pick up an electric space heater. Actually the box had two in it for the price of one. Then they were on sale for 30% off. So two ceramic space heaters that are thermostatically controlled for 20 bucks. A good deal for me. Now I have one to put in my little camper for heat if I need it. My camper has a lp heater, but it is so powerful it just blows you away. It should probably be in something a lot bigger. So a little space heater is much more effective. Plus I don't plan on camping too much in the cold anyway. Gettin too old for that stuff. My body talks to me when it is cold outside. It is one of those just in case deals. In case it gets cold outside, like below 60. I can also use it here where I keep my little rig so it doesn't get to cold inside while it is just sitting here.

Guess I will shut it down for tonight.

Stay safe and warm.

New Toy

Well I sure did it tonight. Bought myself a little Bernina sewing machine. The local Hancock Fabrics store had a sale. That wasn't why I went in there. I needed a piece of material to go with my new stash I received from the quilting club I belong to. Then I saw it, a little Bernina for a 100 bucks off the original price. Couldn't pass it up since I have wanted a Bernina for years and years. Of course it isn't the 5 grand one I wanted, couldn't afford that , but this one will do for now. At least with Bernina I can trade up later for a fancier one. This little one makes a beautiful satin stitch and that is why I wanted Bernina. They do a pretty job, so now I am happy. Also got some material to make daughter a fleece robe. All that snow and cold in Salt Lake City say's she needs one, especially made for her by mom. Hubby picked out the material and it has Tweetie Bird on it. I am sure she will like that.

Nothing else is new. Still reading blogs, dreaming of the places I want to go and things I want to see. Just keep learning about new places, things and stuff to do.

Weather is nice today. Able to get out and drive with the windows open. Can't say that for a lot of the country though. Don't think I could deal with all that cold anymore. And who wants to drive and have to deal with all that snow or sleet. Not me , that is for sure.

So tomorrow I work on sister's quilt and my collaging stuff. Thinking about printing on velum and then with gel medium transferring it to some cloth to use in the journal/altered book I am in the process of making. Got some wire at Wally World and a new book on making jewelry and want to try some wiring stuff with beads. Then of course, there is dinner to cook and the dishwasher to unload. Boring stuff for sure.

Time to close for now. Till then!

No specific reason

Another day and another dollar or two or even less. Nothing much accomplished except I got a little running around done. Went over to Enterprise, Ala to check out some shopping stuff. It is known for the statue of the boweevil in the center of town. Those of you who are Yankee's like me and are not familiar with it, it is the little bug that came and wiped out the cotton crop here in the south. Sorry, don't know any more history than that , but it sure is a little ugly looking thing. This pretty statue of a girl holding some ugly bug, right in the middle of the intersection.

Anyway, been spending time reading a lot of other people's blogs, and looking at their pictures. What a joy that is. Can't wait till I can get out on the road and do a little traveling too.

So that is the whole of the day. Talked to daughter in Salt Lake and it is snow and snow and more snow. Looked at my weatherbug and checked out some of the traffic cams to see what her area looks like. Roads clear but snow on the sidewalks and buildings and stuff. Glad to be here in Alabama and not there. Just getting too old for all that cold.

On to another day and another dollar or two.

What's New

Well, finally made it and got the move to SE Ala over and done with. Still have stuff ( a lot of it ) in storage, but will deal with that later.

Been living in Central Florida for over 15 years and I guess I have to say that I miss the warmth and the sunshine. Colder here at this time of the year and the sun sure doesn't shine as much. I do miss that and the fresh produce. A big surprise is the cost of food. The meat here is so much cheaper than I have seen in years. You just have to shop at the local stores here. In comparison the Wally World charges the same as in Florida and I can get the same and better quality at more than a dollar less a pound. Ex: ground beef at WW was 2.36 / lb. while the local was 1.16 / lb. t-bone and rib eye ( which i rarely buy ) were only 4.99 and 5.99 regular price. Pork butt at .86 / lb. I could go on, milk about the same price, bread a little lower. Gas right now is 2.85 / gal for regular.

The pace is much slower here also. Not so much craziness and people rushing all over the place just to get somewhere they really don't want to be anyway.

I like my crafts and quilting and this area is lacking in that I only have a Hancock Fabrics and a Michael's to choose from. Thank goodness for the internet, because that make everything just a click away.

My hubby is really enjoying his new job driving tour bus for a smaller company than he worked for in Florida. Surprise, the pay is better. He is out of town a little more, but still in the area of Ala and Ga and Fl. So he is never more that an 8 or 10 hour drive away.

Guess that will be enough for today. Been getting caught up on the blogger sites I read and have enjoyed that a lot. Love to read about other folks and the things they are doing.

Have a good day.

Dinner with Daughter and Son in Law

One of the last ones together for a long time, may be forever. Yep, bad thing and good thing. Daugher is moving from Central Florida to Northern Utah in about two months. That is going to be a very hard thing for me. I am excited about the move for her and the chance to see and do a whole new world of things. For me it is going to be devasting and so heart renching. When she moved away 20 years ago I was a lot younger and in a better state of mind. Now, I don't know how I will deal with it. My depression and constant pain and her moving are going to put me in a bad state of mind I'm afraid. Just got to deal with it. Sooooooooooooooo on with my camping and boondocking, workcaming and anything else I can come up with. Got to stay positive.
Will try

A Sleep In Day

Well if I didn't I sure missed a good chance. I slept off and on the entire day, mostly on.
Expeneded a lot of energy yesterday explaining to hubby about what I wanted to do to my truck and then watching the quilt makers and the work they do. Got upset cause I can't get to my stuff cause of the way things are right now, and that makes me angry. So I just slept it all off today and didn't get anything done.

Maybe tomorrow will be better. It is bill paying day and will probably go and get the new microwave to replace the broken one. Just got used to having one and it seems funny not to have it. The things that we get adjusted too.

I just want to get out there and go camping away from it all with some of my craft stuff and feel free to get creative. Can't seem to do that here at home. Too much to interfer with my thought process. You know, dishes, laundry, what to cook for dinner. Those kinds of things.

Tomorrow is another day and productive on way or another

Was this a lost day or not

Did I accomplish anything or not. Looking for something worthwhile on TV and stopped at the cooking show and Paula Dean. Lordy, lordy, I should have changed channels cause what she was doing probably put five poounds on my already overloaded frame. Wouldn't you know that I had what I needed to make this mess with. So , I guess you know what I did. I made the mess and what a keeper it will be. Simple canned bisquits, cream cheese, butter, brown sugar, pecans, walnuts and a few minutes of time. Was getting ready to tell hubby I had no idea what breakfast was going to be and then I produced this awsome concoction. He said I could repeat it when ever I wanted.

To get back to what I started out on, I spent a lot of time, energy , hand motions, working the mouth, and a little bit of hand drawing to get my idea across to hubby. We have a little Aliner Cabin A3 which is perfect for me to camp in, but a little tight for hubby. If it wasn't for my lack of patience we whould have something different, but it works for us for now. Hubby has to work and I don't so he can't go much and I can.

I want to make an enclosure for my truck, kind of like a camper, to use for storeing stuff so I can go do the craft show stuff and we can go camping with more room for him and his stuff.
Took a lot to convince him but I did. Now If I can only get him to help me. That will take moving a mountain I am afraid. I don't know if I have the energy for that anymore. Will try to do it myself if I can.

Not to make this too long I will end it for now.
Maybe tomorrow I will get something done.

What am I going to work on next.

Did I make anything today. Nope, but I did get a little bit done outside with my plants. Even made husband come out to help. That was a major feat in itself.

Found a link on one of the web sites about RVing and can't get enough of it. Pine straw basketmaking. So many beautiful baskets and great people making them. Some of the sites sell the supplies needed and even give out beginner info to make your own. So here is an idea, when you are camping collect the needles , bundle them , and then sell them. They go for about a dollar for a 4 oz bundle. More on other sites. Oh well, just a thought. I might try it out when I get to go camping again.

Speaking of camping and crafts. Go to get going. This just sitting here is for the birds. AND how do I get people to look at this and add comments. That will take some figuring out. It does give me someplace to put a few words down and at least make my mind work.

Later folks.

Just Another Day

Will this be just another mindless day. Somedays are like that I suppose. Trying to get into a creative mindset. Got a turkey breast out to put on the grill. Will see what happens.

Went looking at other bloggers with Creations in the listing or title or whatever the other stuff is.Lots of stuff out there and it has given me some ideas. Now I have to learn about posting pictures and linking and other stuff. Never a dull moment in the life of a newbee.

Looks like I found some places or people I would like to make a contact with.
The question is how safe is all this. You are open to the world and whatever and whoever might be out there. Guess this is the new way and a new life and if you want to try a new way of doing things and communicating.

Just more things to ponder and wonder about.

So I guess now I should just jump in and try it. Then I think that is what I have already done by doing just what I am doing now.

Nothing creative on this post. Just a lot of wandering.

I need to take my little camper and go RVing to someplace quiet where I can get a hookup.

CreationsbyLSM

Come and talk to and with me.

I am at home all the time, not by choice, and my mind just goes with all the things I want to do.
I love to cook, quilt, random crafts, and what ever I decide I might want to try to do.

I have done a couple of craft shows with my creations, rubber stamping, paper crafting, cigar box purses, candy making and a few other items. By nature I am not a sales person so I didn't enjoy trying to sell my things as much as I thought I would.

I found a magazine that has been a wonderful inspiration to me. So now I am getting into collage using different papers, fibers, paints and powders, material, and just about anything else I can find to add to the mess.

So come and join me in our pursuit of creations, whatever they might be.
